Thing 7

It is really easy to upload photos onto Flickr. I think that we could use Flickr in the classroom to share photos with our families from field trips and also parent/child activity days. We always take lots of photos of our students, showing how they enjoy the activities. Parents don't always have their camera or are too busy with their child that they are not taking pictures.

Thing 6

Flickr is a really neat website. I can't wait to explore it more and start to experiment with my own photos.
I chose this picture of twins because I have my own set of twins and I thought this was really sweet. I could never imagine trying to take this picture and get them both sleeping at the same time and cooperating with moving them together for the picture. I was never that lucky!

Thing 5

This seems like a much easier way to have all of your information in one place. I am afraid though that I will spend too much time each day reading the blogs. I don't have enough minutes in a day the way it is. This is so interesting though!

Thing 4

I am really excited to learn more about Bloglines and use them. I am currently involved in a couple of different RSS feeds and would love to know how to better utilize them. This seems as though it will be a lot less in my daily inbox!

Thing 3

What a great way to connect with parents in our program. We as staff members can share information with parents and then parents can comment to share information with others. I really like the idea of blogging! We have many staff members that work in our program as well. This would be a great way for everyone to share information.

Thing 1 and Thing 2

Wow, do I have a lot to learn! I always call myself the "computer illiterate person". I won't be using my new skills with students in my classroom, but I can certainly learn how to communicate in more unique ways with parents. I am learning that there are so many ways to get information out to people that I never imagined. I am so excited to get started with all of this. Just will need to be very creative with my time! :)
